The Garden

The garden blooms idealism

Unaware of winter

Stems strong with truth

A beauty and a burden to tend

The Walk

The trees were tended by the generations who lived by them

Land and bark shaped by incompatible realities

At first she was dismayed by Kevin Carter

But soon realized she walked through the trees with the same stride

The Encounter

To encounter does not mean to see

Data is only useful once the analyst has done their work

The analyst does not exclude undesirable finds

If under a rock you find

do you not search under the rock beside it?

She is curious and wants to see whatever there might be to see

The March

Direction is not so easy as reading a history textbook

Reading she is omniscient and the way is clear

Walking, this book hasn’t been written yet

The Waves

Out onto the water

Storms of uncharted seas roar to keep dreams on the shore

Dread drowns when the garden stems hold strong

And on this landscape do the weak march

Every wave becoming a testament to The Name

Who sustains each footstep of the dreamer

Where they would have failed

The End

Thirsty roots grow deep

Bark shaped by generations who planted idealistically

Their curious march turns trial

Painful refinement comes out as gold

This is the way of the dreamer
